The implementation phase of the EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanisms in Hungary for the period 2009-2014 was launched on April 25. During this period over 150 million euros (around 40 billion HUF) will be made available for 12 Hungarian programmes.

This week American filmmaker Patrice O’Neill is touring Hungary in order to inform Hungarian communities of the strengths of community-based responses to racism and hate crime. ”Building Safer Communities: A vision for tolerance” is a joint US-Hungarian community-building project to improve the conditions and integration of the Roma population.

Scandinavian Airlines reopens its connection between Budapest and Scandinavia

Scandinavian Airlines has expanded its network with nine weekly flights from Budapest to Scandinavia, starting 31 March 2013. This includes six weekly flights to Copenhagen and three to Oslo.
